opening sequence elements..

as always we need to include cast and crew and of course the title of the film must be included in the title sequence, in our sequence we are going to hint the character in its context, for example fire stands for hell, and death, and pain, so we may put the name of the bad guy here..
the next most important thing i feel is the indication of the place were bad things happen, or the lifestlye... information regarding mood and tone is also known as key to the rules of our title sequence, as well as anyother title sequence, the reason for this?.. because you need to set the mood before you show the film, comedy is cheerful so you would put cheerful music in the opening sequence, and for us creepy and slow is tensed in the media world this is key for horror.. the opening sequence must get the audience thinking why? how? what? who? then this will advertise the target audience to want to know more about the film, and what will be in the end.
patterns and types of editing that will be echoed in the remainder of the film, for example, a clock stands for time, and this may consist through the film, patience might be key in the film, or at certain times something will happen.. mise en scene and cinematography that will be echoed orelaborated upon later in the film..
