Genres

definition of a genre film; the genre film is a response to it genre, for instants-love, comedy, horror, thriller, sport, war, western, teen, suspence, short, mystery, musical, fantasy, family, foreign, drama, documentry, disaster, crime, biography, adventure, action, adult.

I would say the best typical example of a fantasy film would have to be...star wars, this is because it is completely fantasized. i mean in space, fighting with what i call torches, i never watched the film and never will, i think the reason for this is because i was never pulled in towards the theme of it, lets just say i wasnt the target audience, my opinion is who would want to watch it, i mean the opening was not attractive at all, it told me a story and i suppose it does suit the theme of the fairy tale/fantasy emotion, like a bed time story, but it didnt work in my perspective. The good sides to it, is that the setting seemed pretty awsome, in space, the words being presented like there are a space ship, flying from beyond the screen. i dont think the theme was expressed as much in the opening title sequence, then again usually fantasy films arent something you jugde from their opening sequence.
